04:42 pm - Back from the dead (or from the hospital bed)
So...........it's been a while since i've posted here. Seems like my LJ's dead already.
But hey, I'm back. Back from the hospital a month ago for having bronchitis. (damn lungs) Back again from the hospital 3 weeks ago because it was my mom's turn to get sick. It appears that she got too stressed out at home and as my folks believed in Iloilo, nakulam daw siya.
Different kinds of medicine can now be seen at home. Most of them are dried leaves and dried roots that are consumed in a juts-like manner to get rid of evil spirits that are tormenting my mom. I simply told her to wear gold to combat the evil spell but it seems like the herbal stuff is quite effective because she's back to normal again. Me and my mom being sick at the same time costs me to miss out a lot of things.
On the positive side, you tend to reflect more on your life when you are confined within the four walls of your house. I tried to considser being a cruise photographer, but still there's this voice inside of me that tells me to break the cycle..the cycle of being a seaman in our clan. So again, it's back to decision #1, to stay in the Philippines and try out different jobs. One of them is being an employee for onbooks (again). It's not much but at least i'm doing something at home while earning(?) at the same time. I almost felt that i'll be giving up photography since i have not been shooting lately but thanks to ma'm Peach of abs, i'll be getting the apprenticeship that i've been waiting for. woohoo! I got referred to Pancho Escaler. Met up with him yesterday. Got my portfolio critiqued. Told me to take out the ones he didn't like in FRONT of HIM. I've never felt so intimidated since Dr. Baytan's advwrit class. hehehe. Sir Pancho's quite a character.
I'll be starting tomorrow! eeepp! Hope I don't mess up or oogle at his studio... waah!

I failed stat101
alam ko..sobrang dali niya. kailangan lang ng practice, pag-aaral blah blah..
ganun naman talaga e, madali lang naman lahat ng subjects basta mag-aral ka lang. aminado ako, hindi ko inaral ang stat. Umasa lang ako na himalang makapasa. Math talaga ang mortal kong kaaway simula pa noong grade school ako. Dati gumawa pa yung nanay ko ng makulay na multiplication table pero literal na umiiyak ako pag pinapakabisado sa kin. Nakailang tutor na rin ako. Pinapasagot sa kin yung isang set ng mga problems tapos magpapaalam ako na pupuntang cr pero sa totoo lang pupunta ako sa kwarto ng nanay ko para kumuha ng calculator tapos kukuha ng sagot dun para pagbalik ko, presto: instant answers na walang solutions! Tamad ako. tamad ako pagdating sa math. Pinapaliit ako ng math, pakiramdam ko sobrang bobo ko. pero sa totoo lang, tamad lang ako sa math. dahil pagdating sa math hindi ako interesado. Oo, kailangan ang math sa pang-araw araw na pamumunay (yuck!) Ipagpalagay natin na may studio na ko. Kailangan ko makuha ang tamang exposure ng isang image, pero para makuha ang tamang exposure kailangan ko matansa ang intensity ng bawat ilaw at kailangan ko rin i-adjust sa tamang aperture at shutterspeed setting ang cam ko. Interesado ako sa photography pero may math din siya. pero takte! aanhin ko pa yung mga theorem theorem na nagamit ko nung highschool. Lalo na tong stat! takte! hindi naman ako magtatrabaho bilang isang tiga-kuha ng statistic. Nakakaasar din yung ibang problems na binibigay minsan.
Halimbawa:
1.)In how many ways can 4 boys and 4 girls be seated in a row of 8 chairs?
a.) If they can sit anywhere?
b.) They are to be seated alternately
Answer: Mga putang ina niyo! magsi-tayo na lang kayo!
2.)In a beauty pageant with 8 contestants, 3 prizes will be awarded. In how many ways can the 3 prizes will be awarded. In how many ways can the 3 prizes be awarded, excluding ties and a contestant can win only once?
Answer: No one wins but there's a tie.. dahil ang papangit niyong lahat! Mga putang hinayupak! Magsama kayo ng prof ko!
3.)A box contains 5 red, 4 blue, and 3 white balls? In how many ways can you select 3 balls such that they are all diff colors?
Answer: Tapos anong gagawin natin sa mga balls na to? ah! alam ko na! saksak na lang natin sa butas ng puwet mo para makulay na siya! or..gawin mo na lang silang bayag mo para makulay at maging 3 ang balls mo!
hay..sagabal na lang itong stat101 sa pag-graduate ko. kaya no choice kung hindi i-summer na lang. hindi muna ako hahawak ng cam. pootah... sige na, mag-eenrol pa ko.

Fashion Week is finally over. Thesis finally over.
Hay, pagkatapos ng isang buong linggo ng thesis sa umaga at fashion week sa gabi, nakakamiss din ang halos 3 oras na tulog at pagod. kaya ngayon mahirap naman matulog dahil na-calibrate na yung biological clock ko sa ganung settings.
At eto pa, ang magaling na (original) thesis mentor nagpakita sa mismong araw ng defense. gandang timing. at eto pa, binentahan pa ng surfboard ang thesismate ko. galing galing naman. at least tapos na. sa wakas!!!
Walang free cam from sony, pero at least panibagong learning experience at bagong mga tao. priceless compared sa isang sony cam. Pagkatapos ng isang linggong paggamit ng sony R1 cam, bonding ulit kami ni lucas. yehey! balik quiapo ulit!

Yesterday was very fun!

- Lunch sa Heaven and Eggs:
Nasobrahan ata sa heaven kasi halos ma-impatso na kami sa dami ng kinain namin. Sobrang dami, pagdating ng dinner busog pa rin ako.
